The agency has confirmed that it detected and intercepted two Russian TU-95 and two Chinese H-6 military aircraft in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone on July 24.
The report said that NORAD aircraft from the US and Canada sent these aircraft back. Fox News reported that this was the first time that Russia and China sent joint bombers off the coast of Alaska. The agency also said that the Russian and Chinese aircraft remained in international airspace. They did not enter American or Canadian airspace. This activity of Russia and China in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone has not been seen as a threat, however, America will continue to monitor it.
