According to reports received from Pallekele, Gautam Gambhir has given the role of rapid hitting to Washington Sundar. This player was made to bat at number 3 in two consecutive practice sessions. Sundar practiced long range hitting during batting. Meaning he was asked to hit only sixes and fours. This was the same kind of batting that Sunil Narine does. Interestingly, Washington Sundar is also a left-handed batsman and he is also an economical bowler like Narine.
