Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday inaugurated the 22nd Uttarakhand State Junior and Senior Badminton Championship at Parade Ground in Dehradun. During this, CM Dhami congratulated the players of the state.

The players of our state have brought laurels to the state and the country by winning medals in national and international games. Earlier, players had fewer opportunities, but today talented players are being encouraged with the efforts of the government, so all of you should take advantage of these opportunities with your efforts.
New sports culture developed across the country under the leadership of PM: CM
CM Dhami said that under the leadership of PM Modi, a new sports culture has developed across the country. Apart from this, Khelo India campaign was started and sports have got a boost in the country. At the same time, under the Chief Minister’s Udyaman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana, sports scholarships are being provided to the emerging players of the state. Special facilities are also being provided to the players preparing by staying in the sports hostel.
Government jobs are being given to players who win medals
The CM said that our state has got the opportunity to organize the National Games, this is a proud moment for all of us. We are fully prepared to conduct these national games successfully. The state government is also working to promote sports in the state at every level. The CM said that our government has brought a new sports policy in the state. Through this, we are also providing government jobs to the players who win medals at the national-international level.
