Uttarakhand: Dhami government will also develop the areas around Chardham, there will be separate routes to Yamunotri
Even though the number of devotees visiting the Char Dhams during the monsoon season in Uttarakhand has reduced drastically, but when the Char Dham Yatra started on 10 May, a huge crowd of devotees had gathered in the Dhams. The situation had become such that due to the huge crowd, not only the arrangements had collapsed, but the devotees had to face a lot of difficulties. In view of these problems, the Uttarakhand government has decided to develop such places around the Dhams, where the devotees can be sent when there is a huge crowd in the Dhams.
Tourist places will be developed around the Char Dhams
The Uttarakhand government has started working in this direction. When there was a huge crowd of devotees in the Dhams, the traders associated with the Char Dhams had suggested developing other places near the Dhams, so that during the huge crowd, the devotees can also be sent to other places near the Dhams. So that the devotees can easily visit the Dhams. Especially during the arrival of a large number of devotees in Baba Kedarnath and Yamunotri Dham, the devotees had to face a lot of difficulties in movement.
Another route will be built in Yamunotri Dham
Recently, three devotees died and many devotees were injured due to the landslide on the footpath of Kedarnath Dham. In such a situation, the Uttarakhand government also wants to develop the old footpath present in Kedarnath Dham, so that the devotees can reach the Dham safely for darshan by reducing the ever increasing pressure on the new footpath. A similar situation is also in Yamunotri Dham. Actually, the footpath of Yamunotri Dham is very narrow. Despite this, devotees go through this route and horses and mules are also operated on this route. In such a situation, the Uttarakhand government is going to build a separate route to go to Yamunotri Dham and come back.
The government will emphasize on alternative routes
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that there has been a lot of pressure of devotees in the initial phase of Chardham Yatra this season. Due to which the government is emphasizing on alternative routes. He also said that suggestions have come from traders, taxi operators, hotel operators from Chardham Yatra that other places should be developed in the areas around them, so that if there is more pressure in the Dhams, then the pilgrims will also go around the Dhams. With this, the devotees will be able to visit in a proportion. The government is working fast in this direction.
Proposal will also come on the routes of Kedarnath
The CM said that Yamunotri Dham has a capacity of 6 to 8 thousand people. In the coming time, the number of devotees may double. In such a situation, there is a proposal to make separate routes to go to Yamunotri Dham and come back. This will be very convenient for the devotees going to Yamunotri Dham. Because right now there is only one route, through which devotees come and go. When there is excessive crowd, devotees have to face a lot of difficulties in coming and going. Also, the CM said that like Yamunotri Dham, the routes to Kedarnath will be taken into consideration in the proposal in the coming time.
