Uttarakhand: Meteorological Department issued yellow alert for heavy rain, instructions given to take precautions in 3 districts

Clouds will soak the entire Uttarakhand today too. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Center, it will rain in all the districts of the state. It is a different matter that there will be more rain in some places and less in others. Heavy rain alert has been issued in two districts of Garhwal division and one district of Kumaon division.
Yellow alert in all districts
The Meteorological Center located in Dehradun has predicted heavy and intense spells of rain in all the districts of Uttarakhand. In view of the rain, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert to warn people. According to the Meteorological Department, lightning will also flash along with the loud thunder of the clouds during this period. In such a situation, people will have to take special precautions.
There will be heavy rain in these three districts
The Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rain in three districts of the state. However, it is expected to rain heavily in some of these districts. The districts with heavy rain are Chamoli and Pauri Garhwal located in Garhwal division. At the same time, heavy rain is expected in Bageshwar district of Kumaon division. Here people have been appealed to take weather updates before leaving the house. Along with this, people have been asked to be cautious while driving on the roads.
A yellow alert for rain has also been issued in the remaining 10 districts of the state. In these districts, there will be incidents of lightning along with thunder. Along with this, there will also be intense spells of rain. The Meteorological Department has said that thunder and intense spells of rain can cause mild to moderate landslides in sensitive hilly areas. Landslides can obstruct roads and other connecting routes. There is also a possibility of damage to property. The Meteorological Department has also given an alert that the water level of rivers and streams can suddenly rise due to rain falling on melting snow. As a result, incidents like land erosion, floods and waterlogging can occur. People living in such areas have been asked to be cautious.
