Karnataka: Dog meat being sold as goat meat? Allegations created a stir, sample sent to lab for testing

A shocking case has come to light from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Here, news of selling dog meat in the name of mutton has come to light. This news created a stir, after which the investigation of the case has started. On the report of bringing dog meat from Rajasthan and selling it in the name of mutton in Bengaluru, the police and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) say that the meat sample has been sent to the food lab for testing.

This is how the case came to light

Actually, it is alleged that a large quantity of dog meat is being brought from Rajasthan via train and sold in Bengaluru in the name of mutton. When a regional media ran a story on this, this thing went viral on social media. After this, the FSSAI team went to Yashwantpur railway station and started the investigation and took samples. The samples taken by the FSSAI team have been sent for testing.

This is why the suspicion arose

According to sources, the tail of the animal whose meat was transported was longer than that of a sheep or goat, that is why some people suspected that it was dog meat. It is being said that the tail of sheep and goats found in Rajasthan is long on average, due to which this doubt has arisen. However, is this actually mutton meat? The lab report is awaited in this case.

Let us tell you that tension arose at Bengaluru City Railway Station on Friday night when a consignment of about three tons of meat loaded in about 150 boxes arrived here from a train from Jaipur. After which the meat was accused of being dog meat. Now the clear result of the case that whose meat is this will be known only after the lab report.
