Uttarakhand: Congress will raise voice against crimes against women, will hold a big protest in Delhi on 29th July

On 29th July, under the leadership of National President Alka Lamba, Mahila Congress is going to hold a nationwide agitation at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. This agitation is going to be against the increasing atrocities on women. A large number of Congress women are also going to participate in this agitation under the leadership of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress President Jyoti Rautela.
Uttarakhand Mahila Congress President Jyoti Rautela said that atrocities against women are increasing across the country today. In Rajasthan alone, 20 thousand incidents of crimes against women have occurred in the last 6 months. She said that through the agitation, Mahila Congress will raise the demand for immediate implementation of the Women’s Reservation Act under the political empowerment and participation of women. In this, reservation and participation of our OBC sisters should be ensured. She said that under economic empowerment, half of the country’s population is fighting inflation and unemployment today. To provide relief to them, as per the Mahalakshmi Yojana under Nari Nyay, a demand will be made to give financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh annually or Rs 8500 every month directly to the accounts of a woman from every poor family.
State Vice President of Women Congress Asha Manorama Dobariyal said that women from various areas of Uttarakhand are going to participate in the movement. She said that atrocities against women are constantly increasing in the country. In such a situation, the demand for giving women the right to social justice and security will also be raised prominently under the nationwide movement.
