Uttarakhand CM Dhami released the book ‘Those 17 days’, the book is based on the workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today released a book titled ‘Wo 17 Din’ at Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi. This book is based on the workers trapped in the Silkyara tunnel.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared his experience about the Silkyara tunnel and said that it is a great achievement to evacuate 41 workers safely. The Chief Minister said that this rescue operation was successfully completed only under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister congratulated the author of the book, Rajiv Ranjan Singh. He said that this book full of positivity and experiences is definitely worth reading.

Which accident happened in the Silkyara tunnel?

Let us tell you that on 12 November 2023, on the day of Diwali, there was a landslide inside the under-construction tunnel from Silkyara to Dandalgaon on the Yamunotri Highway in Uttarkashi. Due to which 41 workers working in the tunnel got trapped in the tunnel due to debris in the tunnel. Machinery from the Center to abroad was engaged to rescue the workers. After 17 days of hard work, 41 workers trapped in the tunnel were successfully rescued.
