Uttarakhand: On the instructions of CM Dhami, Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal reached disaster-hit Toligaon and Tingarh, enquired about the condition of flood victims

Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal reached Ghansali today and inspected the disaster-affected areas of Budhakedar, Toligaon and Tingarh village along with the concerned officials. He also met 50 families affected by the floods. Meanwhile, he said that the district administration has made arrangements for living, eating and sleeping in a school for 50 to 55 families of Tingarh village affected by the disaster.

Premchand Agarwal said better arrangements for food and accommodation for the victims

Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal said that the disaster in Toligaon and Tingarh village was very terrible. Two people have died due to debris in Toli village. In such a situation, our government is always ready to help those victims. The victims have been compensated and shifted to another place in view of safety. He said that the district administration has helped the disaster-affected people with full readiness. Also, better arrangements for food and accommodation have been made for the victims.

The affected villagers demanded displacement

Premchand Aggarwal said that the main demand of displacement has been made by the affected villagers, on which the surrounding lands are being surveyed and efforts are being made to find good and safe land. As soon as the land is found, the action of displacement will be taken immediately by talking to Chief Minister Dhami. He said that CM Dhami has said that the disaster affected people should not have any kind of problem. Whatever problems the victims have, all their problems should be resolved.

The District Magistrate made the Minister aware of the situation

Gram Pradhan Reena Devi said that good arrangements have been made here by the district administration, but our demand from the government is that it should immediately displace us to a safe and right place. At the same time, District Magistrate Mayur Dixit informed the minister about the damage caused in the disaster-affected villages Yathatoli, Tingarh, Jakhana, Kot, Vishan, Thati Budhakedar, Pinswar, Urni, Agunda and Koti and the relief amount given to the disaster affected. During the inspection of Thati Budhakedar, the villagers have raised the demand of channelization of the river, removal of debris from the river and treatment of the disaster affected area on the lines of Uttarkashi by making a plan for it. Necessary action has been assured on this.
