Rains kept creating trouble in Kedarnath throughout the night, devotees had a dark night but got relief after seeing the CM in the morning
Last night was a very difficult and dark night for the devotees who reached Baba Kedarnath’s Dham. Due to the closure of the road, they had a difficult time as to how they would be able to get out, but in the morning, after finding the CM among them, they got the assurance that the head of the state is with them and they will be taken safely. Due to heavy rains and cloudburst in Uttarakhand, the life of the people got disrupted. Ten people also lost their lives. At the same time, many devotees were stranded on the Kedarnath footpath due to cloudburst. When the head of the state CM Dhami looked alert, the officers also looked alert. Relief material was delivered to the devotees stranded in Kedarnath at night, while CM Dhami reached different districts of the state since morning to conduct aerial and ground inspection.
The devotees stranded in Kedarnath breathed a sigh of relief when they found CM Dhami among them. Despite being stranded in crisis, the devotees started praising the work of CM Dhami. The CM also enquired about the well-being of all the passengers and assured that it is the responsibility of the state government to deliver them safely. The CM first enquired about the well-being of the devotees over phone at night and then reached among the pilgrims in the morning. The CM asked the pilgrims from Gujarat and Punjab if everyone had a good darshan of Kedarnath, to which the devotees replied that along with having the darshan of Baba, they had the darshan of you too. Many devotees were stranded here due to cloudburst on the Kedarnath walking route. Around 200 devotees were accommodated in GMVN last night itself. Some people were evacuated from the walking route while some were rescued by helicopter.
