At the same time, hotels and lodges on the river bank in Sonprayag and Gaurikund were evacuated. Kedarnath Yatra disrupted due to heavy rains in Rudraprayag

Heavy rains created havoc in Kedarnath Dham, which started on Wednesday evening. Due to torrential rains, the Mandakini river has also assumed a monstrous form, while streams have also overflowed at many places on the Kedarnath footpath. The footpath has been damaged at many places due to the overflowing of streams.

The road has also been washed out at many places. In such a situation, the problems of the pilgrims have increased. The maximum damage is being reported in Bhimbali and Lincholi of the Kedarnath walking route. Due to the road being damaged about 70 meters ahead of Bhimbali Chowki on the Kedarnath route, 200 pilgrims were kept safe in GMVN and police posts. People have been removed from the area around the damaged route.

The hot spring of Gaurikund washed away in heavy rains

On the other hand, the hot spring in Gaurikund has been washed away due to the Mandakini river taking a terrible form. Shops and hotels on the river bank have been evacuated. Apart from this, in Sonprayag also, in view of the rising water level of the Mandakini river, the administration has made the pilgrims stay at safe places. The district administration is keeping an eye on every incident.

Two foot bridges washed away in Rambada

The Kedarnath walking route has suffered heavy damage. The footpath has been damaged at many places between Rambada and Lincholi. Two bridges on the Mandakini river at Rambada on the Kedarnath foot journey route have been washed away. These bridges were located on the old route. These bridges were used by travelers and horse operators as a shortcut route. These bridges were washed away in the strong current of the Mandakini river in the rain on Wednesday night.

District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar told on the phone that it is raining heavily in Kedarnath Dham. Due to this, along with the rise in the water level of the Mandakini river, the Gaderas have also come in spate. The footpath has been damaged due to the rise in the water level of the Gaderas. He told that due to the rise in the water level of the Mandakini river, the hot pond located at Gaurikund has been washed away, while all the passengers are safe. The administration had also evacuated the hotel in Sonprayag in time. Every incident is being monitored by the district administration.

CM Dhami will do aerial inspection

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will do aerial inspection of the areas affected by the disaster caused by heavy rains in Rudraprayag district today. During this, he will review the status of rescue and relief operations. Chief Minister Dhami will reach Gaurikund helipad. After this, he will conduct an aerial inspection of the damage caused to the disaster-affected areas due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday night.

The father told that Manmohan was missing from home since the incident. After which, he expressed doubt that maybe his son had committed the murder and set the room on fire. The police already suspected the son The police immediately registered a case against the son and started investigation. After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
