Kedarnath Yatra disrupted due to heavy rains in Rudraprayag

The maximum damage is being reported in Bhimbali and Lincholi of the Kedarnath walking route. Due to the road being damaged about 70 meters ahead of Bhimbali Chowki on the Kedarnath route, 200 pilgrims were kept safe in GMVN and police posts. People have been removed from the area around the damaged route.
The hot spring of Gaurikund washed away in heavy rains
On the other hand, the hot spring in Gaurikund has been washed away due to the Mandakini river taking a terrible form. Shops and hotels on the river bank have been evacuated. Apart from this, in Sonprayag also, in view of the rising water level of the Mandakini river, the administration has made the pilgrims stay at safe places. The district administration is keeping an eye on every incident.
Two foot bridges washed away in Rambada

Two bridges on the Mandakini river at Rambada on the Kedarnath foot journey route have been washed away. These bridges were located on the old route. These bridges were used by travelers and horse operators as a shortcut route. These bridges were washed away in the strong current of the Mandakini river in the rain on Wednesday night.
District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar told on the phone that it is raining heavily in Kedarnath Dham. CM Dhami will do aerial inspection
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will do aerial inspection of the areas affected by the disaster caused by heavy rains in Rudraprayag district today. During this, he will review the status of rescue and relief operations. Chief Minister Dhami will reach Gaurikund helipad. After this, he will conduct an aerial inspection of the damage caused to the disaster-affected areas due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday night.
