In Tanakpur, a case of fraud of lakhs of rupees has come to light by land mafias by constructing shops on government land and getting fake registration done.

A case of fraud of lakhs of rupees has come to light by land mafias by constructing shops on government land and getting fake registration done. The matter was revealed when the local administration bulldozed five illegal shops built on government land near the ARTO office.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday, the local administration demolished five shops built illegally by running a bulldozer under the encroachment removal campaign. After which a big case of buying and selling shops by illegally constructing them on government land came to light.

Shops on government land sold by getting fake registration done

Let us tell you that the victim Durgesh Kumar son of Om Prakash resident of Nai Basti Ward No. 5 Tanakpur had given an application to the SDM demanding action against two alleged land mafias and getting the 20 lakh rupees stuck with them. The victim Durgesh Kumar told that two property dealers had made a deal with him for two shops in the name of cheap shops.

Out of which the registry of one shop was done in his name and the advance of the other shop was taken from him by them. But later he came to know that the land mafias have cheated him of lakhs of rupees. Because the shop sold to him by them was built on government land. Which has been demolished by the local administration.

This is how the fraud was revealed

When the victim Durgesh Kumar reached the tehsil with the registry papers to confirm the matter, he came to know that the land mafias had sold him the shops built on government land by getting fake registration done. In this fraud case, the victim Durgesh Kumar has pleaded for justice to SDM Akash Joshi.

The victim has demanded strict action against land mafias and property dealers and to get back the 20 lakh rupees stuck with them. On this matter, SDM Akash Joshi has assured justice to the victim. He said that the case is being investigated.
