Uttarakhand: Madan Kaushik met CM Dhami, discussed about Haridwar corridor, got assurance on heritage city

Uttarakhand BJP senior leader, Haridwar MLA Madan Kaushik suddenly met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today. This meeting is being considered very special. After becoming the Chief Minister, this was the first time that Haridwar MLA Madan Kaushik met him at his residence. This information has been given not by Madan Kaushik but on the social media handle of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. There is a long list of people who meet the Chief Minister, but today Madan Kaushik’s meeting was also made public by the Chief Minister’s Office. After this, ETV Bharat wanted to know from Madan Kaushik what was the meaning of this sudden meeting.
While talking, Madan Kaushik said that yesterday when Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami came to Haridwar, there was some discussion about the corridor. After this, local people and traders met him immediately. After the meeting, he felt it necessary to talk to the head of the government Pushkar Singh Dhami about this. Madan Kaushik said that he met CM Dhami in this regard.
So I immediately asked him for time to meet at the residence. Which he accepted and called me to Dehradun. I have told him clearly that the corridor that is being talked about in Haridwar can cause a lot of harm not only to the traders here but also to the organization.
Madan Kaushik said that we have also seen its results in Ayodhya, Kashi and other places. He said I have been watching the people of Haridwar for more than 20 years. I know better what is necessary here and what is not. Madan Kaushik told all these things to CM Dhami.
Big demand for the city:
Madan Kaushik said that he has put forward the demand of declaring Haridwar as a heritage city in front of CM Dhami. If this happens then it will be a historic step for Haridwar. Haridwar is not a 50 or 100 year old city but a hundreds of years old city. Madan Kaushik said that after my meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has fully assured that work will be done towards declaring the city as a heritage. A decision will be taken on this soon. Regarding the corridor, CM Dhami said that in no way will the government demolish the houses or other buildings of traders and local residents. Along with this, CM Dhami also said that all options will be considered.
