Uttarakhand: Good news for guest teachers, Education Minister made this announcement

Uttarakhand’s School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a review meeting of the School Education Department at his official residence on Friday. In the meeting, he directed the departmental officials to resolve the problems of guest teachers posted in various government schools of the state.

Guest teachers will get a chance to change the division

In the review meeting, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that guest teachers posted in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions will be given a chance to change the division, so that the guest teachers can work diligently in discharging educational activities in the desired division.

Guest teachers will be given deployment for three years

The Education Minister said that to ensure that guest teachers are not affected again and again, they will be given deployment for a minimum of three years in remote schools of various blocks of inaccessible areas in relation to the vacant posts of teachers. For this, teachers will have to be given an option along with the contract letter. For this, the Education Minister has instructed the officials to prepare a proposal soon and send it to the government.

Guest teachers will get maternity leave

Apart from this, there is also a consensus on giving maternity leave to guest teachers like other personnel. The Education Minister has given instructions to deploy the guest teachers affected by the appointment of permanent teachers in various schools at their desired places. Apart from this, the guest teachers who will perform teaching duties in schools during summer vacation will be given honorarium as allowed by the department.
