Let us tell you that Vinesh Phogat has defeated champion Susaki in this match. Four-time world champion Susaki won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. She had a 2-0 lead before the last few seconds in the match against Vinesh. Vinesh, who is playing her third Olympics, used her experience to the fullest and won by taking down the champion wrestler from Japan in the last few seconds.

Japan also appealed against it but the referee rejected it after watching the video replay. Vinesh is challenging in 50 kg for the first time. Earlier she used to play in 53 kg. Vinesh did not give any chance to Susaki to gain any grip in the first one minute. However, Susaki was successful in taking the lead in the second minute. Vinesh gave a brilliant reply to Susaki’s attack with her strong defense.

Susaki was not successful in penetrating Vinesh’s defense in the second period as well but she took a 2-0 lead by scoring one point. Vinesh had saved her best for the last few seconds and her suddenly adopted aggressive attitude did not give the Japanese wrestler a chance to recover.
