Uttarakhand: CM Dhami did an aerial survey of the disaster-affected areas in Kedar Valley, talked to the local people

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Rudraprayag today to inspect the Kedarghati area affected by heavy rains. The Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas. Apart from this, he also reviewed the damage caused by heavy rains in Kedarghati, reviewing the damage including roads and other routes and also reviewed the reconstruction works. Along with this, the CM also talked to the affected persons.
After this, CM Dhami met the local people at the GMVN guest house and listened to their problems and directed the concerned officials to resolve them immediately. The CM said that the safety of every traveler and local people is the priority of the government. He instructed the officials to take the cooperation of the local people in restarting the journey.
Sonprayag-Gaurikund road suffered heavy damage in the disaster
Sonprayag-Gaurikund road has suffered a lot in the disaster on July 31. Regarding the early opening of the road, the Director General of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had held a virtual meeting with the officials of NH, PWD and directed to work on a war footing to open the road. After this, the regional officer of the ministry and the NH officials reached the spot.
Sonprayag to Gaurikund is a five km road. This road has suffered a lot of damage due to the disaster. About two km ahead of Sonprayag, the road has been completely damaged in a length of 150 meters. Apart from this, the road has been damaged in four more places in a length of 100-100 meters. Regarding this route, the DG of the ministry held a virtual meeting with NH, PWD officials.
In this, instructions were given to speed up the work of repairing the road. Said, whatever amount will be spent on reconstruction, the ministry will provide it. After this, the regional officer and chief engineer of the ministry DK Sharma and NH chief engineer Dayanand reached the spot. Told, efforts are being made to open the route soon.
I have inspected it myself. NH and ministry officials have also reached. Gaurikund-Sonprayag has been damaged at many places. All necessary steps are being taken to open the route soon.
