There is a stir in JDU on the Waqf Board Amendment Bill. Muslim leaders met CM Nitish Kumar on Thursday (August 08) in which Bihar Sunni Waqf Board Chairman Mohammad Ishardullah was also present. What Nitish Kumar said in this meeting has also come to light. ABP News talked to Mohammad Ishardullah on Friday (August 09). He said that we have expressed our concerns after meeting CM Nitish. We were worried for a week about what will come in this bill?

CM Nitish said – ‘… then that will be my problem’

Mohd Ishardullah said that we got a copy of the bill. After this, we went to the CM. The CM has said, “If any kind of problem comes to the minorities, then it will be my problem. The CM said that I do not know about this bill. I will look at this bill and when senior party leaders come from Delhi, I will also talk to them and will not let the Muslim community be harmed at any cost.”

‘There was concern so CM was made aware’

While talking to ABP News, Mohd. Ishardullah said that we and the Muslim community have also not been able to understand this bill properly. There was concern about the bill and we have made the CM aware of it.

There should have been a discussion before bringing the bill in Parliament

He said that before bringing this bill in Parliament, there should have been a discussion between the Muslim community, intellectuals and the chairman of the Waqf Board. Mohd. Ishardullah said that the Muslim community has a problem with some points in this bill. We have met the Chief Minister regarding this.
