Maharashtra: On Manish Sisodia getting bail, Ramdas Athawale said, ‘If ED does it wrongly…’

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale has reacted to the Supreme Court granting bail to former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Excise Policy case. He termed the allegations of misuse of ED being leveled against the Central Government as false.

Union Minister Athawale said, “If ED is arresting someone wrongly, then why is he not getting bail? Why is Arvind Kejriwal not getting bail, it means that there is some substance in this scam.”

Ramdas Athawale further said, “Sisodia was the Deputy CM of Delhi and was arrested by the ED in the excise policy case. There were continuous attempts to accuse the BJP but the government has no connection with the ED investigation. If the ED is arresting someone wrongly, then why is there no relief from the court? He had to stay in jail for 17 months.”

He said, “I think there is no such thing that someone has done injustice intentionally. It is being propagated wrongly. But if Manish Sisodia has got bail, then it is a good thing. He should come and work for his party, be happy with his family. This is our expectation. And to avoid getting into any case again, it is necessary to live life properly. There should not be a situation of going to jail.”

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Friday (August 9) in the cases of corruption and money laundering related to the alleged scam in Delhi’s excise policy.

At the same time, after Manish Sisodia got bail, Aam Aadmi Party has taken a dig at BJP. AAP said on Friday that the Supreme Court’s order to grant bail to party leader Manish Sisodia is a slap on the dictatorship of the BJP-led Center, but it is unfortunate that this relief was given after a delay of one year.
