Disaster management and skills to deal with cyber crime will be taught in the schools of Uttarakhand, will be included in the syllabus of classes 9 to 12

Every year in Uttarakhand, monsoon brings disaster instead of pleasant weather. A similar scene is being seen this year as well. This year too, monsoon is wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand. During a disaster in Uttarakhand, the first people to come forward for help are the local people. However, due to ignorance, many times they are not able to help themselves. That is why the Uttarakhand Education Department is going to start a new initiative, under which now children from class 9 to 12 will be taught methods of disaster management. Along with this, they will also be made aware about cyber crime.

According to the information, disaster management and cyber crime will be added to the curriculum from class 9 to 12 in the upcoming academic session. The Uttarakhand Education Department has also started its preparations for this. The government believes that the young generation should come forward to deal with disaster management and cyber crime and there can be no better option for this than education, where every aspect of disaster management and cyber crime can be easily explained to the young generation. For this, NCERT has also prepared the outline of the syllabus.

The syllabus will mainly teach about the major disasters related to Uttarakhand. Apart from this, their causes and how to carry out relief and rescue work in those circumstances will be explained. Along with disaster, ways to avoid cyber crime have also been included in the syllabus. Because in today’s time cyber crime is becoming a big challenge in front of the police, which is very important to fight.

Director of Academic Research and Training Vandana Garbyal said that the outline of the syllabus will be prepared soon. By the next academic session, the books will reach the schools. The entire syllabus will be prepared on the advice of experts. Vandana Garbyal said that both the issues are very sensitive for Uttarakhand. Because the way cyber crime cases are increasing in today’s time, it is very important for children to be aware. That is why children will be told about cyber crime from class 9 itself.
