Shocking news is coming from Haridwar. Where a couple committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga due to debt due to kitty. The body of the husband has been recovered from the Ganga canal. While no trace of the wife has been found so far. The wife is being searched continuously.
Husband and wife committed suicide by jumping into the Ganga
On Monday, the police got information that a body was stuck in the swamp near the Ganga canal near village Jamalpur Khurd. The police took out the body and kept it in the mortuary of the district hospital for post-mortem. On investigation, the body was identified as Saharanpur’s bullion trader Saurabh Babbar (35) son of Darshanlal Babbar, resident of Kishanpura Kotwali Nagar.
It is being told that Saurabh had come to Haridwar with his wife. Both of them jumped into the Ganga together from the Hathi Bridge near Har Ki Pauri. Both had sent photos and location before jumping into the Ganga. The deceased’s wife Mona has not been traced so far.
He was worried about being in debt due to kitty
On contacting the family of the deceased, the police came to know that Saurabh Babbar has a shop named Sai Jewelers in Saharanpur. Along with this, he also used to collect kitty. Due to which he had a lot of debt to people. Which he was not able to repay. He came to Haridwar on Monday, sent a suicide note and his location to his family and jumped into the Ganga.
