Uttarakhand: Speculations about the expansion of Dhami cabinet intensify, the discussion got strength from the Delhi visits of the Chief Minister and ministers

The topic of expansion of the Dhami cabinet is again at the center of discussion in political corridors. This discussion has gained more momentum after the recent Delhi visits of the Chief Minister and ministers. Four posts in the cabinet are currently vacant.

Four ministerial posts are vacant

When Chief Minister Dhami took oath for his second term, three posts in the cabinet were kept vacant. Only 12 members including the Chief Minister can be in the cabinet in the state. Later, due to the death of Cabinet Minister Chandan Ram Das, the number of vacant posts in the cabinet increased to four. In view of all this, there has been talk of cabinet expansion often. There is more discussion about it during the Chief Minister’s Delhi visits.

Now this topic is again at the center of discussion. The reason is the recent Delhi visit of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Not only this, many ministers also rushed to Delhi and attended the court of top leaders. This also caused a stir in the political corridors. In fact, recently BJP’s National General Secretary and Uttarakhand in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam had indicated that the vacant ministerial posts in the Dhami cabinet would be filled soon. It was believed from the Chief Minister’s Delhi visit that he could discuss with the central leadership regarding the cabinet expansion. Although, nothing is being said clearly by the government and the organization regarding the cabinet expansion, but everyone’s eyes are fixed on it.

There is even a discussion that in the coming days, along with the cabinet expansion, some ministers or their departments may also be changed. The meeting of some MLAs with the Chief Minister is being seen in this context. When the cabinet expansion will take place is hidden in the depths of the future, but till then the heartbeat of those seeking ministerial posts has increased.
