Jharkhand: How much loss will Hemant Soren suffer due to Champai Soren’s new attitude?

Elections have not been announced yet in Jharkhand, but the stir has started like in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has also suffered almost the same blow as former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala has suffered in Haryana. However, Champai Soren has not yet left JMM like the JJP MLAs.

Champai Soren, who publicly silently resigned from the post of Chief Minister, has just broken his silence, but his echo is reaching far and wide. He himself has also reached Delhi. Hemant Soren had taken charge of Jharkhand within a week of his release from jail on bail, and apparently this is its first side effect.

After Hemant Soren went to jail, Champai Soren became the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on January 31, 2024, and will remain in office till July 3, 2024.

Yes, because after getting bail from Jharkhand Hard Court, Hemant Soren had sought resignation to become the Chief Minister himself.

The rise of Champai Soren in Jharkhand politics reminded the politics of Bihar and Tamil Nadu. Champai Soren did not behave like Bihar’s Jitanram Manjhi, but like Tamil Nadu’s AIDMK leader O Panneerselvam. Hemant Soren handed over the chair as soon as he came, but after some reluctance, when asked, the only difference was that the rest of the things were Panneerselvam’s. Couldn’t tolerate it.

Hemant Soren’s decision before going to jail has been proven correct, but the decision taken after his return has definitely been questioned. Now it has also been proved that Champai Soren is neither like Manjhi nor like Panneerselvam, he is made of different clay.

Champai Soren becoming a rebel!

After about one and a half months, Champai Soren’s anger has erupted. Till now he kept tolerating it in his mind. Now he is saying, ‘After insult and contempt, I was forced to look for an alternative path.’

Champai Soren has tried to tell a lot on social site X, but has also told that he does not want to tell everything. He has expressed his pain over the developments in the last days of his tenure. Champai Soren says that he was the Chief Minister, but

His programs were cancelled, a meeting of the legislature party was called, but he did not even know the agenda.

And in the same meeting of the Legislative Party, he has also publicly repeated what he had said with a heavy heart, “A new chapter of my life is going to start from today.”

Champai Soren says that from the first day to the last day of his tenure, he continued to discharge his duties towards the state with full devotion and dedication, ‘During this period we took many decisions in the public interest and as always, everyone Always been available for… The people of the state will evaluate the decisions we took keeping in mind the elders, women, youth, students and every section of the society and every person of the state.

Absolutely. This thing is certain. In democracy, it is the public who evaluates.

Champai Soren says that from that meeting of the legislature party till today, ‘and till the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, all options are open for me in this journey.’ Hemant Soren has also given his opinion regarding Champai Soren’s latest stand, but till now Champai Soren has not told about his next step.

Rather, Champai Soren says, I had three options… first, to retire from politics… second, to set up my own organization… and third, if I met any companion on the way, then I would move ahead with him. to travel,

Even though Champai Soren has maintained the status quo politically, it has become clear that he has already become a rebel against Hemant Soren in Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and now it has become important to understand that Champai Soren’s effect of becoming a rebel what can happen?

What will be the impact of Champai Soren’s rebellion?

Champai Soren comes from the Kolhan region of Jharkhand, and is the fourth leader from that region to hold the position of Chief Minister of Jharkhand. First of all, Madhu Koda also comes from Kolhan region, who at one time single-handedly became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The special thing is that former Chief Ministers of Jharkhand, Arjun Munda and Raghubar Das have also been doing politics in Kolhan region.

The thing to note is that Champai Soren is also called the Lion of Kolhan. When he became the Chief Minister, his supporters on social media started addressing him as the Lion of Jharkhand. The biggest thing is that Champai Soren is believed to have influence on about a dozen assembly seats in Kolhan area. The votes received by BJP candidates on the seats in the area in the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections are also evidence of this.

Now if the question is what will be the impact of Kolhan’s lion in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, then this can be assessed in two ways. One, according to the loss caused to Hemant Soren due to Champai Soren’s rebellion and second, according to the direction Champai Soren takes towards the political party

Out of the three options mentioned by Champai Soren, two do not seem possible at present. His latest stance shows that he is not going to retire from politics and the elections are so close that it seems very difficult to form his own new party and contest the elections.

As far as the third option is concerned, it seems practically open. Be with someone in the journey ahead, Champai Soren has written the same in his social media post. And this also seems possible to a great extent. No such thing is being said openly from BJP’s side, but from the stand of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha the picture seems clearer.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has written on social site ), former Chief Minister Raghubar Das ji… and on top of that there is Super CM… Himanta Biswa Sarma ji… Now it seems that one or two more former will be thrown out of the state after becoming Governor.

Actually, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das is currently the Governor of Odisha, and JMM is taking a dig at Babulal Marandi in his pretext. Babulal Marandi is currently the President of Jharkhand BJP.

Anything is possible at any time in politics, hence it does not seem that Hemant Soren and his advisor Champai Soren would not have thought of becoming a rebel some day. Generally, it seemed a bit strange for Hemant Soren to become the Chief Minister for a few days just before the elections. Nevertheless Hemant Soren decided to take command in his own hands and all decisions are risky.

From Hemant Soren’s stance, it seems as if he is assuming that Champai Soren is not going to be a big hindrance in the sympathy he is getting due to going to jail. Certainly it would have been beneficial to have Champai Soren’s support in the fight with BJP, but it does not seem that the whole game will be overturned.

Subhendu Adhikari could not bring BJP to power in the 2021 West Bengal elections, even if he defeated Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.

Was cast. Champai Soren also cannot be taken lightly. He is a grassroots leader, and his image has been completely spotless.

Hemant Soren may suffer less loss, but if BJP comes together, it can definitely gain big in Kolhan region. If Hemant Soren has the ability to compensate for the possible loss of Kolhan, then it will not mean that everything will be lost due to Champai Soren’s departure.

In such a situation, it can be said that Champai Soren is more beneficial for BJP, but less harmful for Hemant Soren, the rest is the public.
