A bus carrying tourists from UP to Kathmandu fell into a river, 14 died in an accident in Nepal

A major road accident has taken place in Nepal. A bus carrying 40 Indian passengers has fallen into the Marsyangdi river in Tanahun district. According to the information received, this bus with UP number was going from Pokhara to Kathmandu. According to media reports, 14 passengers have died. The bus registered in Gorakhpur had gone from here to Nepal carrying passengers. It is being told that the passengers in the bus were residents of Maharashtra.

Nepal Police has confirmed the accident. DSP Deepkumar Raya of Tanahun District Police gave information about the accident and said that a bus with the number plate UP-53- FT 7623 fell into the river. This accident happened around 11:30 am. The bus was going from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Many passengers have been rescued safely.

SDM and ADM of Maharajganj are being sent to Nepal. Assistant spokesperson of Nepal Armed Police Shailendra Thapa said that the bodies of 14 people have been recovered from the spot. He also said that 16 injured people were rescued and sent to the local hospital for treatment.

UP Relief Commissioner has said on this matter that they are in touch with Nepal. The bus that met with the accident is from Gorakhpur. It is being confirmed how many people from Uttar Pradesh were travelling in it. The driver driving the bus is a resident of Gorakhpur. 16 passengers have been rescued in the accident.

According to Nepal’s local media, after this accident, the local administration and rescue team have reached the spot. Relief and rescue work is going on at the accident site. Nepal Army team, Armed Police Force personnel and divers have reached the accident site under the leadership of SSP Madhav Paudel. Rescue operation is still going on.
