This is the reason why CM Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly instructing the police administration to curb the increasing criminal cases. Despite this, the current situation is that criminal cases are increasing across the state. Under this, CM Dhami conducted a surprise inspection of the Police Head Quarter (PHQ) on Wednesday. He also reprimanded the officers.
After conducting a surprise inspection of the police headquarters, CM Dhami said that the law and order of the entire state is run by the police headquarters. In such a situation, all the points have been discussed by talking to all the officers. Along with the work to be done in the interest of the state, instructions have been given to curb crimes against women, to have good law and order, to provide immediate police assistance to the needy people. He also said that immediate action should be taken on matters like demographic change, conversion and love jihad taking place in the state and the law should work strictly on these matters.
Instructions to increase patrolling in border areas
The CM said that, in order to deal with criminals with strength, police officers and employees should be given training from time to time, this has also been discussed. Also, budget provision has been made for the residential building of the police. In such a situation, the construction work of residential buildings should also be done on time. Along with this, patrolling should be increased in the border areas of the state and the traffic system should be improved. In such a situation, he hopes that in the coming time the police will work in a better way. Also, it will deal strictly with unwanted elements.
Allegation of former chairman of Mandi Committee
On Wednesday, senior social worker and former chairman of Mandi Committee Ravindra Singh Anand said that the law and order in the state has collapsed on incidents like theft, robbery, loot, murder and rape. While talking to journalists at Dehradun Press Club, Ravindra Anand said that criminal incidents have become a common thing in the state for some time. The way criminal cases are coming to the fore in the state every day and the police administration seems helpless, an atmosphere of anarchy is spreading in Uttarakhand. The rule of land mafia, mining mafia and liquor mafia is flourishing in the state. This proves that the government has failed on all fronts. In such a situation, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand should resign on moral grounds.
Checking of jewelry showroom in Nainital
After the robbery incident in a jewelry showroom in broad daylight in Haridwar, Nainital police has also become alert. Apart from this, criminal incidents are also increasing in Haldwani, in view of which SP City Haldwani Prakash Chandra along with the police team checked many jewelry showrooms located on Nainital Road on Wednesday. During this, the team checked the security arrangements in the showroom.
Instructions to increase patrolling at night
During the checking, the police also found flaws in many showrooms. At many places, the guards were not found in active mode. Apart from this, they also had old weapons. Instructions were given to replace them immediately. Also, CCTV cameras were not installed properly outside the showroom. Regarding which SP City said that all big showrooms should keep the DVR of CCTV cameras in the online server. Along with this, he has also instructed the police team to increase patrolling at night.
