Uttarakhand: Air connectivity in Garhwal will increase soon, MP Baluni raised the issue with the Union Minister

BJP MP and party’s national media chief Anil Baluni met Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu in New Delhi on Wednesday to demand expansion of air services to various areas of Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency. He requested the Union Minister to expand the air connectivity of Garhwal. The Union Minister assured him that he will gather information in this direction and take action soon.

During the meeting, Baluni also handed over a letter to the Union Minister. He requested that under the Udan scheme, Ramnagar, Lansdowne, Pauri, Gopeshwar and Joshimath of Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency should be considered to be connected to Dehradun by heli service. He also demanded to remove the obstacles in the modernization of Gauchar (Chamoli) airport. He said that modernization of the airport will improve air connectivity in this area.

The Garhwal MP told the minister that geographically, Garhwal is such a Lok Sabha in which 14 assembly constituencies come. Many of its areas are counted among the inaccessible areas of the country.

Due to natural disasters, connectivity is lost in many areas of this Lok Sabha constituency. The road route is often affected. Due to this, the problem of migration from here is also becoming very serious. Therefore, there is a great need for air connectivity in such areas. The Union Civil Aviation Minister gave a positive response to the demand of the Garhwal MP and assured quick action on all the demands.
