Uttarakhand: Badrinath MLA demands that ministers and chief minister should give two months’ salary for disaster relief on the lines of Himachal

Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola has demanded that on the lines of Himachal, the ministers, MLAs and the Chief Minister should give their two months’ salary for the disaster. Along with this, he told that he wants to give his six months’ increased salary for the disaster affected areas.

No chance was given to speak about the disaster in the House

Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola held a press conference at the Congress headquarters today. In which he expressed concern about the disaster affected areas in Badrinath. He said that Uttarakhand is still affected by the disaster. Most of the roads in Chamoli have been damaged due to the disaster. Still we were not given a chance to speak about the disaster in the House.

Ministers and Chief Minister should give two months’ salary for the disaster

Lakhapat Butola said that the Himachal government has started an initiative that MLAs, ministers and the Chief Minister will give their six months’ salary for the disaster. He said that he requests the government that on the same lines, ministers, MLAs and the Chief Minister should also give their two months’ salary for the disaster. Along with this, he told that he has written a letter to the Speaker of the Assembly that he wants to donate his increased salary of six months for the disaster affected areas.
