Uttarakhand: CM Dhami addressed the Hiljatra festival virtually, said- this festival is a symbol of faith, belief and rich traditions
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed the Hiljatra Mahotsav organized in Pithoragarh virtually from the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday. While wishing everyone a happy Hiljatra festival, he wished that just as the stream of Hiljatra flows from the Satu-Aathu festival with the traditional worship of Maa Gauri and Lord Maheshwar in every house, similarly the stream of happiness, prosperity and peace should continue to flow in everyone’s life. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for organizing the Hiljatra festival, sanction Rs 98 lakh for the beautification of Mostamanu temple, approve funds for the beautification of Chautol Mela Complex, Shri Goljyu Temple and get the work of beautification of Hiljatra Mela site in Kumoud done. The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate, Pithoragarh to test the “structural safety” of the parking to be constructed near GGIC at his level as soon as possible.
