Now, there is no mercy for those who drink alcohol in public places in Haridwar. Haridwar police is running a campaign from the city to the rural areas. So far, the police has collected a fine of more than 33 thousand from 128 people.

The general public is troubled by the deteriorating atmosphere in public places and the staggering steps and actions of the drunkards. In view of the feelings of the troubled common people, on the instructions given by Haridwar SSP Pramod Singh Dobal, last night the police ran a campaign from the city to the rural areas. Different police teams searched hotels, dhabas and other public places.
Police arrested 128 people
During the operation, 14 persons were detained from Kotwali Mangalore area, 30 from Kotwali Ganganahar area, 45 from Kotwali Jwalapur area and 39 from Kotwali Laksar area. Taking action against all the accused under the Police Act, a total fine of more than 33 thousand was collected from them. Along with this, the police warned everyone that strict legal action will be taken if they are found drinking alcohol in a public place in the future.
