Uttarakhand: 90th meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee, ACS Anand Vardhan gave these instructions
During the 90th meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee, the targets given for various schemes were reviewed. In the meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, all the banks were instructed to coordinate with various government departments. During this, information was also given about the quiz competition for students on the 90th anniversary of the Reserve Bank.
Instructions were issued to provide the benefits of various schemes to the people by coordinating with various government departments by the banks in the state. During this, the response time of the loans being given by the banks was also asked to be reduced. In fact, a meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee was held in the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, in which various schemes were discussed.
During the meeting, banks were asked to work together with the departments so that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the people. Along with this, instructions were also given to provide loans to the common people through minimum paperwork. During this, awareness was also asked to be created so that people can get the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. Emphasis was also laid on focusing on various sectors under the Annual Loan Plan and achieving the set target within the stipulated time limit.
During the meeting, it was said that 38% target would be achieved in the first quarter as compared to the target set in the priority sector of the Annual Loan Plan. Apart from this, the loan deposit ratio was said to be 54% in the first quarter. During this, it was told that in the financial year 2023-24, a loan of Rs 386 crore was given to 8539 applicants under the Education Loan Scheme. In the financial year 2023-24 itself, Kisan Credit Cards were also given to 628881 farmers in the state. Similarly, Kisan Credit Cards were also issued to 99962 animal husbandry farmers and 1912 fish farmers.
In the meeting, the progress report filed by the banks till June 30 in the financial year 2024-25 under the loan schemes by the Central and State Government was told in it. During this, it was told through the representative of the Reserve Bank of India that on the occasion of the anniversary of the Reserve Bank, a nationwide RBI 90 Quiz is being organized for the students studying graduate courses. In which prizes have also been arranged for the students. At the national level, the first prize of Rs 10 lakh, second prize of Rs 8 lakh and third prize of Rs 6 lakh will be given.
