Uttarakhand Mahila Congress will run a digital membership campaign on its foundation day, aiming to add 10 lakh members
The 40th Foundation Day of the All India Mahila Congress will be celebrated with great pomp on September 15. During this, a digital membership campaign will be started by the Mahila Congress. In this sequence, Uttarakhand Mahila Congress has set a target of connecting about ten lakh women through the membership campaign.
Mahila Congress was established in 1984
Uttarakhand Mahila Congress President Jyoti Rautela said that late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had established the Indian Mahila Congress in 1984, whose main objective was to promote the political and social empowerment of women, so that women in India can become politically and socially empowered. She said that on the occasion of Foundation Day, the resolution of Nari Nyay will be reiterated by the women of the state Congress.
Target to connect 10 lakh women to the organization
Jyoti Rautela said that for the first time in the state, Uttarakhand Mahila Congress is going to launch a membership campaign in all the headquarters. After this, the Mahila Congress will take the membership campaign forward to the district, block and booth level. She said that under this campaign, a target has been set to connect about 10 lakh women from across the state with the organization.
District President will organize women
Jyoti Rautela said that all the District Presidents of Mahila Congress will go among the people with their committee and organize women. Those women among these who are willing to join the Indian Women Congress, such women will be given membership of the organization.
