Uttarakhand was highlighted in Prime Minister Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat”, whenever the opportunity came, he gave the example of Devbhoomi to the country, this time he praised the campaign for cleanliness and environmental protection

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand has been a part of the Prime Minister’s “Mann Ki Baat” program. On the commencement of Sharadiya Navratri, on October 3, the “Mann Ki Baat program” will complete ten years. In these ten years, Prime Minister Modi हसमानmman ki bat  mentioned Uttarakhand many times. He said that women, youth and various social organizations in Uttarakhand have set an ideal example in front of the whole country and society through their work. Describing many works as inspirational, he drew the attention of the whole country towards this.

Dhanyavad Prakriti Abhiyan should start in every village

In the 114th edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the border village Jhala of Uttarkashi district. The villagers of this village spend two-three hours every day cleaning the village. All the garbage of the village is collected and kept at a designated place outside the village. The villagers have named it Dhanyavad Prakriti Abhiyan. The Prime Minister praised the campaign of the villagers and said that this campaign should start in every village of the country.

Women revived water sources in Jakholi

Women in Luthiag village panchayat of Jakholi block of Rudraprayag district have taken a commendable initiative towards water conservation. Rain water was conserved by creating a chaal-khal (small lake). Due to this campaign, the scarcity of drinking water has been overcome to a great extent by reviving the dried up natural water sources in the village and water is also available for irrigation. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the women and called it exemplary. Here the villagers had to travel three kilometers on foot for water.

Corona vaccine administered by walking 5-7 km daily

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Bageshwar’s ANM Poonam Nautiyal for doing a good job during the Corona period in Mann Ki Baat. Poonam walked 5 to 7 km daily to administer the Corona vaccine. Poonam also made people who were afraid of getting the vaccine aware. PM himself also spoke to Poonam. PM said that due to it being a hilly area, she had to carry all the vaccination material on her shoulders.

Surendra engaged in cleanliness campaign

Surendra Prasad Bagwadi of Guptkashi is engaged in the cleanliness campaign. When he saw the then District Magistrate of Rudraprayag Mangesh Ghildiyal cleaning the Gadera, he also decided to get involved in cleaning. He is the pilgrimage priest of Kedarnath.

Ran Samaj working to save dialect and language

The Prime Minister mentioned the Ran Samaj of Dharchula in his Mann Ki Baat. The Prime Minister praised the efforts being made by the Ran Samaj to save their dialect and called it an initiative that shows the way to the whole world. The PM said that he read the story of the efforts of the people of the Ran Samaj to save their dialect in a book in Dharchula.

Manoj engaged in freeing holy places from plastic waste

Manoj Bainjwal of Rudraprayag is engaged in freeing holy places from plastic waste. The PM has praised him. He cleaned the ghats which were filled with garbage and started performing aarti there. He also involved other people in this. Now people have stopped spreading garbage there. He started a campaign to free the bugyals of Tungnath, Basukital etc. from garbage. Now he is making students aware in schools.

Bhojanmata is also making people aware about cleanliness

Champa Devi of Devargaon in Guptkashi is Bhojanmata in the school and is making people aware about cleanliness and environmental protection. She has made the barren land green by planting trees on it.

Women of Chamoli making artworks on Bhojpatra

Women are reminding us of the ancient culture by writing their pen on the bark of rare Bhojpatra, which grows in the high Himalayan region of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. During the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Badrinath, women of the border Niti Mana Valley presented him a congratulatory letter written on Bhojpatra. After this, the Prime Minister praised this initiative of women in his Mann Ki Baat program regarding making soviets of Bhojpatra.

Youth made a drone to keep an eye on crocodiles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Rotor Company located in Roorkee area in his Mann Ki Baat. He said that the youth are bringing new innovations for wildlife conservation and eco tourism. Rotor Precision Group in Roorkee has developed a drone with the help of Wildlife Institute, which is helping in keeping an eye on crocodiles in the river.

Puran Singh is engaged in the preservation of folk culture

Puran Singh, a resident of Rima village in Bageshwar district, is engaged in the preservation of the folk culture of Uttarakhand. He has made a special identity in the singing of Uttarakhand’s folk genre Jagar, Nyoli, Hudka Bol, Rajula Malushahi folk tales. Puran Singh lost both his eyes in childhood. He used to listen to Pahari songs Jhora, Chhapeli, Chachari, Nyoli, Chhapeli, Jagar, etc. Due to his poor eyesight, he could not study, but he started singing from childhood.

Uttarakhand resides in the heart of the Prime Minister: Dhami

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has immense love for Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand resides in his heart. It shows his immense attachment to Devbhoomi that the Prime Minister has often mentioned the god-like people, natural wealth, customs and folk traditions in the “Mann Ki Baat” program. This program has given recognition to those working at the smallest level in the country and the world.

Chief Minister Dhami said that on the commencement of Navratri, on October 3, the “Mann Ki Baat” program is completing 10 years. In ten years, through this program, the Prime Minister has inspired people to do good work by mentioning many works done by social organizations and people in public interest.

The Chief Minister has appealed to the people of the state that we all have to contribute to fulfill the Prime Minister’s resolve to make India a developed nation by 2047.
