Uttar Pradesh: In Shahjahanpur, Life imprisonment to 3 accused of gang rape of real sisters
The POCSO court of Shahjahanpur district in Uttar Pradesh on Monday sentenced three accused of gang-raping two real sisters to life imprisonment. Assistant District Government Advocate Deep Kumar Gupta said on Monday that on 10 October 2017, two real sisters living in a village in Madanpur police station area went to the field to defecate in the evening. Both of them were 13 and 16 years old at that time. After this, the accused Jitendra, Shivam and Bantu dragged them to the Bajara field. He said that after that the three accused raped both the sisters one by one and when the 16-year-old sister resisted, they hit the barrel of the gun on her head, due to which she became unconscious. Even after this, the accused raped her.
Gupta said that after hearing the case, POCSO court judge Arpana Tripathi sentenced the accused Jitendra, Shivam and Bantu (resident of Badaun) to life imprisonment (till death) and a fine of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand.
