Ayushman cards of senior citizens above 70 years of age will be made using Aadhar Card in Uttarakhand, senior citizens from other states living in the state will also get cashless treatment facility

In the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Ayushman cards will be made with Aadhaar number to provide cashless treatment facility up to five lakhs to the elderly above 70 years of age. With the launch of this scheme, the elderly from outside states living in the state will get the facility of cashless treatment in listed hospitals, which is not yet under the scope of the scheme.

The State Health Authority has started preparations to make Ayushman cards. The central government started the Ayushman Bharat scheme in 2018. In this, poor families were given the facility of cashless treatment up to five lakhs. 5.37 lakh families of Uttarakhand were included in the central scheme.

Facility of cashless treatment up to five lakhs

However, in 2019, the state government had given the gift of cashless treatment to all 23 lakh ration card holders of the state. The state government has to bear the cost of their treatment. Now the central government has expanded the scope of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and provided cashless treatment up to five lakhs to the elderly above 70 years of age.

Due to this, the state government will not have to bear the cost of treatment of the elderly. Along with this, the elderly from other states living in the state will also get the facility of cashless treatment. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has given a big gift of cashless treatment to the elderly.

Said, this facility is already being provided to the elderly in the state. Ayushman cards will be made with the Aadhar number of the elderly outside the scope of the State Ayushman Scheme run by the state government.
