Uttarakhand: Revenue inspector arrested red handed while taking bribe of 15 thousand rupees, now vigilance is investigating his house and illegal property
On Saturday, October 5, the vigilance team arrested the revenue inspector of Agroda in Pauri Garhwal red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 15,000. The team is searching the residence of the arrested accused as well as finding out about the movable and immovable property of the accused at other places.
According to the information, a person had complained against the accused revenue inspector in the vigilance department. He told the vigilance that Kailash Ravi, the revenue inspector of Agroda in Patti area, is demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 in lieu of demarcation of the land registered in the name of his father among the account holders of account number 20 of ancestral village Naugaon and making their report, but the victim did not want to give the bribe.
After registering the complaint, the vigilance team investigated the matter. The complaint of the victim was confirmed in the preliminary investigation. After this, the vigilance team arrested Revenue Inspector Kailash Ravi from his designated place Pendul district Pauri Garhwal while taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the victim.
After the arrest of the accused, the vigilance team of Dehradun searched the residence of the accused and inquired about his movable and immovable properties at other places. Director Vigilance V Murugeshan said that the trap team has been announced to be rewarded with a cash prize.
