The district administration has taken major action in Kichha of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand and has taken possession of 207 acres of ceiling land worth about Rs 2 billion with the help of the Revenue Department and the Police Force.
What is the whole matter?
On the orders of District Magistrate Uday Raj Singh, the Revenue Department team led by Deputy District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra has taken action to take possession of 207 acres of ceiling land of Bakhpur and other villages under the Kichha tehsil area.
To take possession of this land, the revenue team and police force under the leadership of Sub-District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra, Tehsildar Girish Tripathi, Police Circle Officer Bahadur Singh Chauhan had camped at Calcutta Chowki since this morning. Where the Sub-District Magistrate gave instructions to the police and administration team by briefing. After this, the administration has taken possession by demarcating the boundary at three places.
Sub-District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra said that in 1982, a case was settled in this regard by the Honorable High Court Allahabad regarding the ceiling land in various villages of Kichha tehsil. In which the ceiling land was separated and the remaining land was given to the owner. After the formation of the state, the transfer of land could not be done in favor of the state government.
According to the orders of various courts, the ceiling land has been taken over by District Magistrate Uday Raj Singh. He told that 207 acres of land has been taken over. Now the district administration will use it for government schemes. Earlier also, Deputy District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra had also taken over 70 acres of land of Dhadha village.
Let us tell you that the Uttarakhand government is continuously running a campaign to free the land from encroachment, under which illegal encroachments have been removed on many lands and legal action has been taken by freeing those lands. The government’s goal is to remove as many illegal encroachments as possible, so that government lands can be freed from encroachment. This action of the government has given sleepless nights to the land mafia.
