Lands bought in Uttarakhand by ignoring rules will be investigated, government has issued order

Since the formation of the state of Uttarakhand, there has been a demand for implementing strict land laws. In view of this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had decided that the lands purchased outside the provision of purchasing 250 square meters of land outside the municipal body will be vested in the government. After this instruction of CM Dhami, the government has also issued orders. According to the order issued, it will be investigated especially in four districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital. Along with this, the District Magistrates of other districts have also been instructed to investigate in this regard.

CM Dhami has made it clear

On the demand for strict land law rising continuously in Uttarakhand, CM Dhami has made it clear that a comprehensive land law will be implemented during the next assembly budget session. Along with this, on September 27, CM Dhami had said that more than 250 square meters outside the municipal body areas, which have been purchased in different names of more than one member of the same family, will also be investigated. Due to which the government has issued orders and directed the District Magistrates to investigate these cases. In such a situation, the District Magistrate will take legal action after investigating all these cases.

DM will take legal action on wrong use of land

Meanwhile, Revenue Secretary SN Pandey said that the government has issued orders to investigate these cases. According to the order issued, along with the 250 square meter land purchased by flouting the rules, the cases of purchase of more than 12.5 acres of land purchased after taking permission for investment in the state and its use for other purposes will also be investigated. That is, if it is confirmed that the land has been purchased in a wrong way or the land has been used for any other purpose, legal action will be taken by the District Magistrate.
