CM Dhami met PM Modi in Delhi, sought permission for many schemes in Uttarakhand, congratulated on Haryana’s victory
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a Delhi tour. On Tuesday, October 8, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and congratulated PM Modi on Haryana’s historic victory. He said that this victory reflects the faith of the people in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also presented a replica of Kedarnath temple and Baba Kedar’s Prasad. Along with this, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the continuous guidance and cooperation of the Prime Minister in the development of Uttarakhand.
During the discussion with the PM, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami requested permission for the development and construction of 21 water projects of total capacity of 2123 MW recommended by Expert Committee-2. Apart from this, three ropeway projects, Sonprayag-Gaurikund Kedarnath Ropeway, Govind Ghat-Hemkund Sahib Ropeway and Kathgodam-Nainital were also requested to be transferred for development and operation by the state government.
Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) of the Government of India, he also requested to direct the Ministry of Civil Aviation to re-operate the air service of Dehradun-Gauchar-Dehradun and Dehradun-Chinyalisound-Dehradun. The CM said that the concerned ministry should be given directions for approval of small aircraft operation at Chinyalisound airstrip Uttarkashi, so that it can be operated. Apart from this, CM Dhami also requested the PM to declare two routes Khairna-Ranikhet-Bangidhar-Bajron Motorway (256.9 km) and Kathgodam-Bhimtal Lohaghat-Pancheshwar Motorway (189 km) as National Highway to connect Kumaon and Garhwal. Along with this, approval of the remaining length of Dehradun Ring Road was also requested.
