Uttarakhand: Congress embarrassed in Ramnagar! Local person claimed – Party office was built by occupying my land, Leader of Opposition gave clarification

The Congress office in Ramnagar of Nainital district is in the headlines these days. On one hand, while local resident Neeraj Agarwal is accusing Ranjit Rawat of occupying his building by claiming the Congress office as his own, many big leaders of Congress have also put forth their side on these allegations.

In fact, for the last 4 days, there has been a dispute between former Congress MLA Ranjit Singh Rawat and building owner Neeraj Agarwal regarding the Congress office located on Ranikhet Road in Ramnagar. On Tuesday, after Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya intervened, this matter again came into discussions.

Know what is the whole matter

Ramnagar resident Neeraj Agarwal says that the building in which the Congress office is built is his. Neeraj Agarwal says that earlier he used to have an oil warehouse there, which he gave to former Congress MLA Ranjit Singh Rawat for personal use in December 2016. In those days, Ranjit Singh Rawat and Neeraj Agarwal were good friends.

Neeraj Agarwal alleges that Ranjit Singh Rawat had taken his building for three months, but even after three months he did not vacate the building. Neeraj Agarwal alleges that he has been trying to get that building vacated for the last seven years. Ranjit Singh Rawat has now started calling that building the Congress office.

Neeraj Agarwal alleges that today Ranjit Singh Rawat is trying to occupy his building and is trying to throw his people out. Neeraj Agarwal says that Ranjit Singh Rawat showed his power by calling all the Congress MLAs to that building. Neeraj Agarwal says that Ranjit Singh Rawat has misled the entire Congress that it is his office.

Statement of the Leader of Opposition

Senior party leader and Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya was also questioned on the questions raised on the Congress office in Ramnagar. He said that the lease of this land has expired. The provisions of the Land Control Act have been ignored. Also, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya alleged that some anti-social elements intrude into his Congress office and throw out the furniture and papers kept inside. Still the administration remains silent.

Ranjit Singh Rawat also responded to the allegations

At the same time, Ranjit Singh Rawat has also responded to the allegations made by Neeraj Agarwal against former Congress MLA Ranjit Singh Rawat of occupying the building. Ranjit Singh Rawat said that Neeraj Agarwal had 1/9th share in the lease of this building. But the period of that lease also ended in 2014. Also, the DM had also canceled the lease in 1969. Because there was a dispute in his family, that is why the lease money was also not deposited.

On the allegations of Neeraj Agarwal, Ranjit Singh Rawat said that if he was such a big land mafia, then why did Neeraj Agarwal stay with him for so many years? Why has Neeraj Agarwal not raised his voice for the last eight years? Before today, Neeraj Agarwal never called the office his own?
