Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Police strictness against temporary encroachment in Paltan Bazaar, challan issued
In view of the festive season, SSP Dehradun took a walk through Paltan Bazaar and took stock of the arrangements. During this, the SSP instructed to take action against those who do temporary encroachment on the main market and footpaths.
SSP did a surprise inspection of Paltan Bazaar
On Monday evening, SSP Dehradun did a surprise inspection of Paltan Bazaar. During the inspection, the SSP instructed the police officers not to allow any kind of temporary encroachment on the main market and footpaths and to take action against those who try to do temporary encroachment. During this, while taking action against those who illegally set up hawkers and carts on the main markets and footpaths, the police brought them to the police station.
Challans were issued to those who parked vehicles haphazardly
Challan action was taken against everyone in the police station under the Police Act. During this, the temporary encroachment done by the police on Dispensary Road, Tehsil Chowk areas was cleared. The police is identifying such shopkeepers who are setting up hawkers and carts on the footpaths outside their shops. Along with this, challans are also being issued to those who park their vehicles haphazardly in markets and main roads.
SSP inspected the pink booth
During the walk, SSP Ajay Singh inspected the pink police booth set up in Paltan Bazaar for the safety of women. During this, the SSP gave necessary guidelines regarding the safety of women to the police personnel posted in the pink police booth.
