Good news has come from the Supreme Court for more than 24 thousand employees working in Uttarakhand. Actually, the Supreme Court has rejected the SLP of the government in the case related to 25000 employees of the state. After which there is a wave of happiness among the Upanal employees. But along with this, a big challenge has also arisen for the government.

Upanal employees get good news from the Supreme Court

Good news came from the Supreme Court on Tuesday for the Upanal employees of Uttarakhand. In which the Supreme Court rejected the petition of the Uttarakhand government, regarding which the government had gone to the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court. Actually in 2018, the High Court had given a decision in the interest of the Upanal employees, giving a decision to give equal pay for equal work in the interest of the Upanal employees.

Along with this, the decision of regularization of Upanal employees was given under the government’s guideline regarding regularization. But the government went to the Supreme Court against the decision given by the High Court in favor of the Upanal employees. But now the Supreme Court has also rejected the government’s petition in the interest of the Upanal employees. Which is being considered a setback for the government.

Wave of happiness among UPNL employees due to rejection of petition

UpNL Employees Federation media in-charge Pradeep Chauhan says that the Supreme Court has rejected the government’s petition. UPNL employees are happy with it. The government should now take a decision in the interest of UPNL employees soon. Along with giving the UPNL employees all the benefits like permanent employees, they should also be given the benefit of arrears from 2018.

UPNL employees should be regularized

The way the High Court gave its verdict in 2018 in favor of UPNL employees and now the Supreme Court has rejected the government’s petition. While there is hope of regularization among UPNL employees, the government is now talking about taking legal opinion on this decision. But opposition MLA Pritam Singh says that the government should take a decision in the interest of UPNL employees and regularize them.
