Villagers were on a hunger strike for the last seven days in a border village of Tehri district with their ten point demands. After the assurance of the District Magistrate, the villagers have ended their hunger strike today.

Former head of Genwali, Bachan Singh Rawat, who was sitting on a hunger strike for his ten point demands in the border village of Tehri district, was made to end his strike on Thursday, the seventh day, by District Magistrate Mayur Dixit and MLA representative Anand Bisht by giving him juice.
