On Friday, October 18, the team of Uttarakhand Food Safety Department raided the country’s renowned institute IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee. The team of Food Safety Department took samples of food and other food items from the mess of Radha Krishna Bhawan of IIT Roorkee. The samples will be sent to the lab for testing.
In fact, a video of rats in the food from the mess of Radha Krishna Bhawan of IIT Roorkee came out, after which the team of Uttarakhand Food Safety Department took this action. According to the information, on Thursday, October 17, in the afternoon, students had reached the mess of Radha-Krishna Bhawan of IIT Roorkee to eat. Then the students noticed rats jumping in the mess, of which some students made a video.
Seeing the rats jumping in the food items, the students of IIT Roorkee got angry and created a ruckus there. During this, some students also had an argument with the mess staff. The video of this entire incident has also surfaced. In this connection, today the team of Food Safety Department raided the mess of Radha Krishna Bhawan and took samples of food and other eatables from there.
The team said that a plan will be made to remove the rats with the help of IIT experts. Special types of rat trackers will be installed. Senior Food Safety Officer Yogendra Kumar Pandey said that samples of food and other eatables have been taken and the institute has been instructed to deal with the rats.
