Uttarakhand: An accused arrested with fake notes in Doon, used to do business of fake notes under the guise of a restaurant

Police in Dehradun has arrested an accused with fake notes. STF is alert in view of the festival season. STF has arrested a counterfeit note dealer from Patel Nagar police station. The accused deals in fake notes under the guise of a restaurant.

Police busted counterfeit note business

Senior Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh Bhullar told that Uttarakhand STF was getting information from various sources that some suspicious persons are printing fake notes in Dehradun and circulating them in the market as real. Due to the festival, these can be consumed in large quantities in the market.

On this information, a team of STF was activated and manual information was collected, then it was found that a person named Parmeet lives in Moolchand Enclave near ISBT. He is printing fake notes at his home and circulating them in the market as real. On which this person was identified by the STF team and his movements were traced.

An accused arrested with fake notes in Doon

The STF came to know through surveillance that the person runs his own restaurant on Canal Road. Under the cover of which he is circulating fake notes in the market. On this, the STF team kept surveillance and checked a black Creta car. In which Parmeet Kumar son Ranveer Singh resident of Village Kudi Kharkhoda Police Station Kharkhoda, District Meerut, UP, currently resident of Moolchand Enclave Police Station Patel Nagar Dehradun was caught.

When he was searched, two bundles of 500-500 rupee notes worth 80 thousand rupees were found in the possession of this person. Along with this, laptop, printer, semi-manufactured 500-500 rupee notes worth Rs 14,000 without cutting and other material used in making fake notes have also been recovered from the possession of the criminal. Other information about the accused is being collected.

He used to do business of fake notes under the guise of restaurant

When the accused was questioned, he told that he has a restaurant named Annapurna on Canal Road. From where he exchanges fake notes from his customers in the name of goods etc. He uses fake notes to purchase goods from the market.

Along with this, he told that he prints fake notes with the help of printer-laptop in his rented flat. After printing fake notes, he uses them in his restaurant and to purchase goods from the market etc. Keeping in view the festive season, he had printed these fake notes to spend in the market.
