Uttarakhand: Dhami government’s efforts to increase the use of Pirol and link it to people’s livelihood continue, 7 new units to be set up, decision taken in review meeting

The government is constantly making efforts to promote the collection of Pirul in Uttarakhand. In this episode, the Uttarakhand Forest Department is also identifying the entrepreneurs associated with it across the state. Along with this, efforts are also being made to encourage the collection of Pirul. In this episode, during the review meeting of the Forest Department, it was agreed to set up 7 new units in the state.

The Dhami government in Uttarakhand is trying to increase the use of Pirul (pine leaf) and link it to the livelihood of the people. In this direction, the Forest Department is also trying to encourage the collection of Pirul in forest areas. For this, an attempt was made to connect the regional people with it by increasing the prices of Pirul in the past. Apart from this, such entrepreneurs are also being identified, who can take forward the work related to it.

A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Conservator of Forests, Forest Fire and Disaster Management. In which emphasis was laid on setting up at least one unit in the pine covered regional range. During this, Additional Chief Forest Conservator Nishant Verma directed the officials to ensure that action is taken to encourage the units currently established. Actually, the goal of the Forest Department is to use all the Pirul that is being collected, so that the quantity of briquettes production can be increased.

For this, instructions have also been given to the officials to establish coordination with the District Magistrate and District Industry Officers as well as all the departments while setting up the units. An agreement has also been made to establish new units in the state. In this, it has been decided to establish two units in Almora, two units in Champawat, one unit in Garhwal and one in Narendra Nagar.

A target has also been set to establish at least one briquettes unit under 57 ranges of pine covered forest divisions. Instructions have been issued to all the officers of the Forest Department to make maximum efforts to fulfill all the targets given by the state government.
