The application for voluntary retirement of IFS officer in Uttarakhand Forest Department is surprising everyone. IFS officer Manoj Chandran has written a letter to the Principal Secretary for VRS. This time the VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) application of IFS (Indian Forest Service) officer Manoj Chandran in the Forest Department is in the headlines. Actually, IFS officer Manoj Chandran has written a letter to Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu on October 1 regarding taking voluntary retirement. Which was forwarded to the government by the Forest Headquarters on October 8. However, after the application for VRS was received by the government, no decision has been taken on it till now.

When ETV Bharat spoke to Principal Secretary Forest RK Sudhanshu on this matter, he confirmed receiving the VRS application. However, when he was asked about getting permission for VRS in relation to this application, he said that he did not get permission for it. He also said that the concerned officer has been chargesheeted and investigation is going on in this matter.
An officer with an honest image has been chargesheeted for promotion and regularization against the rules
IFS officer Manoj Chandran is considered to be of an honest image, but recently he has been chargesheeted for promotion and regularization against the rules.
However, Manoj Chandran has been continuously saying that there is no irregularity in promotion and regularization. It is alleged that during his tenure in Human Resources, regularization was done on 504 posts. Apart from this, more constables than the fixed posts were promoted to the post of Forest Inspector.
Investigation of the case has been given to a PCCF level officer
In the case of promotion and regularization, the investigation has been given to PCCF i.e. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) level officer Vijay Kumar. In which earlier Pankaj Kumar was made the presenter in the investigation, but recently he has been replaced by Rajiv Dhiman.
The special thing is that reminders have been sent to Vijay Kumar at the government level to complete this investigation as soon as possible. On which the investigating officer Vijay Kumar has also written to the government about 6 months’ time for the investigation. However, investigating officer Vijay Kumar is retiring in the month of December itself. In such a situation, whether the investigation will be completed on time, this also remains a question.
Investigation is being done on the report of IFS officer Nishant Verma
This entire matter of promotion and regularization on the post of Forest Inspector started on the report of IFS Nishant Verma, who previously looked after human resources.
