Uttarakhand / Champawat: The driver was smuggling hashish in the taxi, police arrested him
Champawat police has arrested the driver who was smuggling hashish in a taxi. 324 grams of illegal hashish has been recovered from the accused. Police has registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act.

On the instructions of Champawat Police SP Ajay Ganpati, the police is running a campaign against drugs in the district. In this sequence, Lohaghat police was running a checking campaign in the area. Police stopped a Swift car going from Dharchula to Dehradun near the SSB camp in Lohaghat at around four o’clock in the evening on October 23 and searched it.
Police arrested
Police has recovered 324 grams of illegal hashish from the driver. The driver has been identified as Kapil Singh son of Madan Singh, resident of Dharchula. Police has registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act. Along with this, the vehicle has also been seized. On Thursday, the police sent the accused to jail after presenting him in the court.
