Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Police busted online betting gang, eight accused arrested
Dehradun Police has exposed an online betting gang. The accused used to place bets through the Win I-20 app. Police has arrested eight bookies. Police has recovered six laptops, eight mobile phones of different companies, cash worth one lakh and one thousand rupees from the possession of the bookies.
Police busted an online betting gang
According to the police, information was received from an informer that illegal betting business is flourishing in Patel Nagar area. On the information, the police raided a two-storey house on the road going to the left from Chandrabani Chowk to Budh Mohalla Tiraha on Tuesday. The police team raided the spot and arrested eight bookies while placing bets online through the Win I-20 app through a pop up.
Details of the accused
The accused have been identified as Salman (23) son of Irfan resident of Shamli, Gulzar Khan (26) son of Lal Khan resident of Delhi, Shahrukh (24) son of Kawaldin resident of Muzaffarnagar, Wasim (24) son of Shahabuddin resident of Muzaffarnagar, Sameer (20) son of Shamim resident of Muzaffarnagar, Moin (19) son of Kharshid resident of Muzaffarnagar, Zubair (19) son of Mehboob resident of Baghpath and Akram (28) son of Hussaindin resident of Muzaffarnagar.
