Congress meeting held in Delhi regarding the candidate for Kedarnath by-election, 3 out of 13 candidates shortlisted, screening committee will soon announce 1 candidate

An important meeting of Congress was held in Delhi regarding the preparation of Kedarnath assembly by-election. The meeting was chaired by Congress state in-charge Kumari Shailaja. Congress state president Karan Mahara, the four observers nominated for the Kedarnath by-election, Uttarakhand Congress co-in-charge Pragat Singh, CLP leader Yashpal Arya, former state president Pritam Singh were present in this meeting.

Chief observer Ganesh Godiyal, Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri, MLA Lakhpat Butola and Virendra Jati jointly submitted their report to the top leadership regarding the candidate in the Kedarnath by-election. Deep brainstorming was done in the meeting regarding the report. All the leaders expressed their views in the meeting regarding the candidate in the Kedarnath by-election. All the leaders unanimously spoke about preparing a panel on the basis of the report of the observers. After this, this panel will soon submit its report to the screening committee. After this, the screening committee and the top leadership will announce the candidate for the Kedarnath by-election.

Congress state president Karan Mahara issued a statement saying that in the meeting, all the leaders openly expressed their views before the state in-charge. Along with this, the observers informed the state in-charge and co-in-charge about the current conditions of Kedarnath assembly. So that Congress can field a strong candidate in the by-election. He said that Congress is going to field a strong candidate in the Kedarnath by-election.

It is worth noting that the four observers of the Congress party nominated in the Kedarnath by-election sent the report of the panel of names directly to Delhi instead of sending it to the PCC, after which a dispute was seen between the State Congress Committee and the observers. After the meeting held in Delhi today, all the Congress leaders appeared united.
