Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi sought a report on the sewer system map of cities, also sought a report from the Water Institute

A meeting of the High Power Steering Committee constituted under Amrit 2.0 was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has summoned a report regarding the full operation of sewer lines in the cities. Along with this, talks were held with the officials regarding various works, in which progress reports were sought from the officials. Drinking Water Secretary Nitesh Jha was also present in the meeting.

Report sought from Jal Sansthan

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also given instructions to immediately submit the sewer system map of Dehradun. A report has also been sought from the Jal Sansthan regarding the status of sewer system in government residential colonies and connectivity to STP. To ensure that the state gets the full benefit of centrally funded schemes, instructions have been given to prepare DPR on time and to follow all the rules during this period. The special thing is that the Chief Secretary has expressed displeasure over the negligence in the implementation of various schemes and has also issued instructions for strict action against those who are negligent.

Instructions to monitor the schemes from time to time

In the meeting of the High Powered Steering Committee, the State Water Action Plan of Rs 356.52 crore has been approved. Two schemes of Nagar Panchayat Dineshpur were also approved under Amrit Sarovar. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has asked the concerned officials to monitor the schemes from time to time. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to complete various schemes on time while giving priority to quality in the schemes.
