A big negligence of the Lohaghat Municipality has come to light. The boards with the names of the freedom fighters and martyred soldiers of the Indian Army installed on the main roads of the city are lying in the drains. Due to which there is anger among the local people.

A few years ago, the Lohaghat Municipality had installed boards with the names of the freedom fighters and martyred soldiers of the Indian Army on the main roads of Lohaghat city. So that the people of the area and the young generation could recognize these martyrs. But now the big negligence of the same Lohaghat Municipality is coming to light.
Boards with the names of the martyrs lying in the drains
The board installed at the Degree College intersection in the name of Kargil war’s immortal martyr Mohan Chandra Joshi, a resident of Ganganola in Lohaghat area, is lying in the drain. But the municipality has not even bothered to lift the board with the name of the martyr. Due to which there is a lot of anger among the people.
On Saturday, outgoing councillor Raj Kishore Shah and people said that this is a grave insult to the names of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting the country. Today, the board with their names is lying in a dirty drain. He called it a very shameful incident.
The boards with the names of the martyrs should be installed with respect again
Councillor Shah and people have demanded from the Lohaghat Municipality and the administration to install the boards with the names of the martyrs on the road with respect and to repair and repaint all the boards with the names of the fighters and martyrs installed in the city. People said that this is a grave negligence of the Municipality and it is not right to insult the names of the martyrs in this way.
